Sir Peruvian Accoyo Killian (DOB 5/20/04) is the latest addition to our growing list of Herdsires. Killian is the Full Accoyo Light Fawn/Beige son of Accoyo El Moustachio and an Accoyo import mother.
Awarded the Light Color Championship at MAPACA 2005, at just over 6 months of age, Judge Tim Lavan chose him over several Champion males in an extremely competitive line-up. In 2006, at the Blue Ridge Classic, he added another Color Championship Banner. And he finished in the ribbons at the AOBA Nationals in an extremely tough Beige class under judge Jude Anderson. He received multiple 1st place ribbons in both halter and Fleece classes at AOBA level 4 and above shows before he retired from the show ring and started his new carreer as a first class herdsire.

Killian began settling his first females spring 2006 and has now put his multiple cria on the ground who will be in the show ring in 2008. Snowmass UltraElite (DOB 6/13/03) is the son of 6 Peruvian Accoyo Elite, who now stands at stud at Cresent Moon Ranch and is closed to outside breeding. Elite's grid sample histogram (shoulder, blanket and hip combined) tested at AFD 18.3; SD 3.7; CV 20.1; 1.3%>30 in 2002 at 6 years of age! His breedings are now closed to outside breedings.
UltraElite's mother, PPPeruvian Halo' s fiber tested 21.6 AFD at 9+ years and after giving birth to five cria.
UltraElite is full Peruvian and 1/2 Accoyo, 1/2 Alianza and has brilliant White fiber which is incredibly dense and crimpy and feels like silk. We are confident he has inherited the best fiber qualities of both parents. Take a look at his fiber.
In 2005, Elite was in the ribbons at MAPACA, and he finished 3rd behind Aga Khan (color champion) and Renosant (reserve color champion) in an extremely competitive White class at the Blue Ridge Classic. Judge Tim Lavan loved his fleece and confirmation and said he had amazing presence. In 2006, Elite finished 3rd over 2 color Champions a (one being Renosant) in the White Male Composite Class at the AOBA Nationals. Judge Charlene Freidman commented on his lovely conformation and balance and the brightness of his fleece.
Elite started breeding in 2005 and and now has 5 lovely daughters on the ground.

Snowmass Angel Gabriel (DOB 9/16/03) is exhibiting the qualities of a great herdsire. At 145 lbs, he is very compact and muscular. His magnificent fleece makes up for his size. He is a Full Peruvian, Accoyo and Alianza, Beige male. His sire, Snowmass Snow*King, a champion in his own right, is a son of PPPeruvian Augusto, one of the premier Accoyo herdsires in the nation. Snow*King is one of Snowmass Alpacas' Elite White Herdsires.
His mother, Snowmass Snow Angel, is full Peruvian and the grand-daughter of Don Julio. She remains in our Foundation Herd.
Shown once in 2005, Judge Tim Lavin placed him 3rd in a large, very competitive, Light color class and commented that Gabriel had a great future ahead of him. In spring 2006, He placed in the ribbons at the AOBA Nationals in a very large Beige 2 yr old class.
Gabriel has just fathered the most exquisite white female cria in Sept 2007. We agree he has a great breeding career ahead of him.

Irish Cream (DOB 6/22/04) is BIG, BOLD & BEAUTIFUL! He is a son of the famous Champion herdsire, Show Me the Money (an Accoyo Royal Fawn son). His mother, DWA Georgette, is a PPeruvian Caligula grand-daughter. Everything about him shouts Herdsire. He is 3/4 Peruvian, 1/4 Chilean. His conformation is outstanding with straight legs, large bone structure and a perfect bite. His fiber is a beautiful Light Fawn with a hint of his mother's Rose color. It forms hundreds of crimpy bundles from neck to tail. He has the lowest CV on our farm which indicates a high level of consistency across his fleece and gives his fleece incredible handle.
Shown for the first time in 2005, he received a 3rd place at the 2005 Virginia Classic, a 5th place at MAPACA 2005 in a very large, competetive Light Male class, a 3rd at the Blue Ridge Classic 2005 and at MAPACA 2006 he placed 6th in the Beige halter class and 2nd in the fleece class.
2008 MAPACA JUBILEE FLEECE Reserve Light Color Champion at almost 4 years old missing Championship by 1.5 total points!!!!!! He has placed in the ribbons every time he has been shown and against very stiff competition.

Brio of Rancho Encantado (DOB 10/17/00) is the Full Peruvian son of 5Peruvian Camelot, an award winning Plantal male. His mother, 5Peruvian Briana, is a beautiful mahogany Peruvian import.
Brio's fiber is a beautiful, bright True Black with incredible handle. He has defined crimp which forms lovely bundles from shoulder to hip. His AFD is 23.4 microns - an amazing number for a 4+ year old True Black breeding male.
His fleece has been shown only twice and at 4 1/2 years old, he received a 2nd place ribbon, finishing just 1 point behind the Reserve Color Champion at the MAPACA 2005 Fleece Show. A year older, at MAPACA 2006 Fleece Show, he took the Blue Ribbon! Brio took a 2nd in the MAPACA Jubilee 2008 spin-off at 7 1/2 years old.
Brio is now a proven Herdsire with the arrival of 3 beautiful True Black cria covered in dense curly fiber and a stunning Light Silver Grey male. We are thrilled with this first cria and the quality that Brio has produced. He is bred to several of our females for Spring 2007 cria.
